Workshop on Developing a Great Mindset for Effective Communication

Two members of DEEP Circle in Sabah – Kahansanan Circle, held a workshop entitled “Developing a Great Mindset for Effective Communication” at SHANGRILA Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in August last month. The event aims to foster interactive engagement with the local communities especially the indigenous community and to strengthen and support especially Seri Mengasih Centre’s (A non profit organisation Centre for special needs people) teachers and staff’s about their understanding of today’s digital communication. It also creates a more inclusive and accepting classroom environment, as well as benefit from ongoing professional and development especially those working in special needs education.

The workshop was co-organised by Juliana Jimis, a Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, together with Mary Monica Jiony, a Senior Lecturer at Labuan Faculty of International Finance, University Malaysia Sabah. This is the second phase of empowering a growth mindset workshop for the indigenous. The first one was in March this year. It covers topics on how to utilise their resourceful inner excellence, communication by design, and emotional intelligence to enhance their personal well-being, skills and knowledge that would contribute to their personal and professional development. Kudos to Kahansanan Cirle Sabah!
